In one paragraph
Intellara is research support. It organizes public records about what biotech companies register, publish and patent, and links every item to its source. It is not investment, legal, medical or patent advice. Public records can be wrong or late, and our matching can miss things, so check the original record before you act on anything.
Not investment advice
Intellara is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser or research analyst, and the Service is not investment research. Nothing in it is a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any security or other financial product, or an opinion on the value or prospects of any company. Measures such as activity counts, “pace vs usual” and priority labels describe how many public records appeared and what kind they are. They are not forecasts or ratings. Make investment decisions with qualified advisers and your own analysis.
Not legal or patent advice
Patent information comes from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's public records. Our summaries of an application's status or examination steps are simplified descriptions, not legal opinions. They say nothing about whether a patent is or will be valid, enforceable, infringed, or what it covers, and they are not a freedom-to-operate analysis. Ownership shown is based on recorded assignments, which can be incomplete or out of date. Consult a registered patent attorney for any such question.
Not medical or regulatory advice
Clinical trial and publication records describe research. They are not treatment recommendations, evidence of safety or effectiveness, or statements about regulatory approval. Preprints from bioRxiv and medRxiv are not peer reviewed. Papers can be corrected or retracted after publication; we screen for retractions but cannot guarantee we catch every one immediately.
Limits of public data and of our matching
- Sources can be wrong, incomplete or delayed. We cross-check papers against a second database where one exists and flag disagreements, but we cannot correct the underlying records.
- The Service updates on a schedule, not in real time. Each report and dashboard states when its data was collected.
- Company attribution relies on name matching. A record counts for a company when an approved company name appears as sponsor, collaborator, author affiliation, patent applicant or current owner. This can miss records filed under other names or by partners, and can occasionally attribute one wrongly.
- Coverage can be partial. For very large companies we may store only the most recent records; the Service marks these cases.
- Dates in the future are estimates. Trial completion dates and similar milestones are the sponsors' own estimates and often change.
- Absence of a record is not proof of absence. A company may be doing work that is not yet public, is filed under another entity, or is outside the sources we cover.
Names, trademarks and sources
Company, product and drug names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Their appearance in the Service does not mean they are affiliated with, sponsor or endorse Intellara.
Data sources include ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed (U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health), bioRxiv and medRxiv, Europe PMC (EMBL-EBI), Crossref, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Open Data Portal. Intellara is not affiliated with, and is not endorsed by, any of these organizations or the U.S. government. Their records remain subject to their own terms and licenses.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for decisions you make using the Service. Verify important information against the linked original record and, where appropriate, with qualified professionals. Our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
